Strategic Road to Be Paved in Shaqlawa

Local companies have begun work on a project to pave a strategic road that links many villages in Shaqlawa district at an approximate total cost of $6 million U.S. dollars, the governor of Arbil said on Sunday.

“The project will be financed through the provincial development budget,” Governor Nozad Hadi told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.

“The project will boost tourism in the province,” the governor pointed out.

Shaqlawa district lies 51 km northeast of Arbil, which is 360 km north of Baghdad.
