Work to Begin on 2 Investment Projects in Baghdad

Work will soon begin on two investment projects that will provide more than 100,000 housing units in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad’s Mayor Sabir al-Issawi said on Tuesday.

“The Baghdad Mayoralty has completed negotiations with the company assigned to invest in al-Rasheed Camp to build 65,000 housing units, and entertainment, commercial, sports and medical facilities…,” the media office of the mayoralty quoted Issawi as saying.

“The mayoralty has approved the recommendations presented by the concerned committee concerning the Future City, which will be built on an area of 3,000 donums (1 donum =2,500 square meters),” the office noted.

“These two projects will provide more than 100,000 housing units…,” it added
