The first computer and Internet center for the blind in the country has been opened in the capital Baghdad, the Iraqi Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs said on Thursday.

“The center, located in al-Nour Institute for the Blind in al-Salam neighborhood, Baghdad, houses blind-oriented computers and printers,” read a ministry statement received by Aswat al-Iraq news agency.

Blind users will be trained in the Braille system on how to use the new computers, the statement pointed out.
