Minister Calls on Dutch Companies to Invest in Iraq

The Minister for Transport Amer Abdul-Jabbar Ismail received the Dutch ambassador to Iraq, Peter van Levin, on Sunday.

During the meeting, the two reviewed ways of developing cooperation between the two countries. According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Transport, the Minister called for Dutch companies to invest in the transport sector in Iraq, also presented a summary of the investment projects available.

The statement added that Ismail stressed the importance of updating and activating the bilateral air agreement, and providing support to the Iraqi community located in the Netherlands. He also urged the opening of air routes between the two countries to help Iraqis in the Netherlands to return to or visit their homeland.
