A delegation from the Belarus discussed on Tuesday investment opportunities with Kirkuk governor, according to a media official.
“Kirkuk governor Abdulrahman Mustapha held on Tuesday (May 18) a meeting with a delegation from Belarus, including a number of businessmen and investors,” Dalier Samd told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
“The delegation underlined that its visit aims to prepare and coordinate with authorities in the province to set up projects in various domains,” he added.
“The governor asserted the importance of investing in Kirkuk as it considered one of the oil, industrial and historical cities in Iraq,” he said.
Kirkuk is 250 km northeast of Baghdad.
