The focus of the region’s automotive service industry will be set on the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre, as Automechanika Middle East 2010 gets under way tomorrow, Tuesday May 25th.
Dubai is the primary trade and logistics hub for the wider region and plays a key role in the region’s automotive trade. Figures just released from DP World Statistics Department reveal that Dubai’s share of the total trade in automotive parts was worth Dhs29bn in 2009. Further statistics will be revealed from DP World during the Automechanika Academy taking place as part of the exhibition.
Being held under the patronage of HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Mak-toum, President of Dubai Civil Aviation and Chairman of Emirates Airline, the 8th edition of Automechanika Middle East will feature over 1,000 exhibitors from over 45 countries.
