Baghdad Mayor and Governor Discuss Construction 222,000 Housing Units

Baghdad Governor Salah Abdulrazeq and Mayor Saber al-Issawi discussed on Thursday allocation of lands to build 222,000 investment housing units in the capital, according to a statement by the governor’s office.

“The coming days will see the formation of joint committees from the provincial administration and the mayoralty to deal with procedures to allocate lands and provide favorable atmosphere for investors,” read the statement as received by Aswat al-Iraq news agency.

“The two sides also took up ways to further cooperation to accelerate implementation of wide-scale service projects as well as festivals and carnivals during the summer seasons,” it added.
