Iraqi Ports / Japanese Toyota, Sign $7m Contract

Iraqi Ports Company signed a contract with the Japan-based firm, Toyota, to develop boarding and de-boarding processes at the Umm Qasr Port in Basra Province, southern Iraq, for $7 million.

“The contract will be funded by the Japanese loan,” the Iraqi Ports Company said in a statement on Sunday as received by Aswat al-Iraq news agency.

The contract was signed in Amman (Jordan) on June 3, 2010.
