Baghdad Council Releases $85m to Baghdad Mayoralty

The Baghdad Provincial Council has decided to release ID102 billion [$85m] to the Baghdad Mayoralty, to complete a number of services projects in the Iraqi capital.

“This is the second dispatch of funds allocated to the Baghdad Mayoralty according to the budget to develop regions,” the mayoralty said in a release on Monday received by Aswat al-Iraq news agency.

It noted that the funds will cover projects related to public services such as drinking water, sewerage, environment, roads, and bridges.
