Kurdistan Region Demands Strategic Trade Relations with Turkey

The Chief of Erbil Trade & Industrial Chamber has announced today that his Chamber has taken into consideration the strategic trade and economic relations, rather than the temporary relations, with a visiting Turkish trade delegation in Erbil.

“We have demanded the latest Turkish trade delegation to take into consideration the joint long term trade relations, by implementing strategic projects in Kurdistan region,” Dara Jalil Khayat said.

He said that the aim behind “our requirements from the Turkish trade delegation is to increase the economic and trade relations in the Kurdistan Region.

Khayat further pointed out that any such Turkish trade delegation’s visit to Kurdistan will have a major impact on economics and trade.

“We have to change from traditional trade to more strategic relationships, establishing the strong trade links in Kurdistan.

The Turkish Trade Minister and a number of investors carried out a two-day visit to Kurdistan Region for a series of business meetings with local leaders and businessmen on 29th June.
