The Iraqi Minister for Construction and Housing, Bayan Dzehyi [Bayan Dezei], received the Bahraini ambassador to Baghdad, Salah Ali Al Maliki, to discuss cooperation in the construction sector.
An official source at the ministry said that the minister discussed with the Bahraini ambassador, means of mutual cooperation in the implementation of projects or partnerships with the Ministry`s operational companies in the areas of housing, roads, bridges and public buildings.
The minister emphasised that Arab companies have priority in project implementation and investment in Iraq, particularly the Kingdom of Bahrain which was one of the first countries to send an ambassador to Baghdad. He stressed that the ministry will provide all facilities for Bahraini companies to work in Baghdad or other Iraqi provinces in order to have a role in the implementation of construction and strategic projects in all areas.
