Baghdad’s Mayor, Sabir al-Issawi, called on Swedish firms to participate in redevelopment projects in the Iraqi capital.
“Al-Issawi received an official Swedish delegation in his office in Baghdad,” said a release issued by the Baghdad Mayoralty on Monday, as received by Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
It explained that the two sides discussed methods to reinforce mutual relations.
“The Baghdad Mayoralty is determined to bring in well-known international firms to execute projects in the capital,” the statement said.
For that reason, al-Issawi told the Swedish delegation that his mayoralty is keen to increase cooperation with Swedish firms.
