The President of the Kurdistan Chamber of Commerce announced the arrival of the British trade delegation headed by the President of the British Business Council in Iraq, to strengthen ties between Kurdistan and Britain.
Dara Jalil Khayat told AKnews that the purpose of the visit is to develop business relations between Britain and Kurdistan “in response to an official invitation from Kurdistan’s Prime Minister.”
The President of the British Business Council in Iraq, Baroness Nicholson said that “since the fall of the former regime, trade has become free and on this basis, the purpose of the visit is to support the economy and trade.”
“After the meeting with the Kurdistan Trade Federation, we will meet the President of Kurdistan to discuss the overall situation in Iraq and Kurdistan.”
Nicholson pointed out that “the British government decided to open a commercial office in Kurdistan in order to contribute and assist in the reconstruction.”
