Egyptian property developer Arab Contractors Co has unveiled plans to open two branches in Iraq, one in Baghdad and one in Erbil, after a four-year absence from the war-torn country due to unstable security conditions, Al-Masry Al-Youm has reported.
“Over the last four years, a good part of the contracting business in Iraq went to European and Asian companies,” Arab Contractors president Ibrahim Mehleb said. “But we’re getting ready to start competing with them.”
The company employs over 60,000 people in Africa, the Middle East, and Asia.
