The Najaf Investment Commission has granted three investment licences worth a total of $233m [273 billion Iraqi dinars] to two Iraqi companies and a Turkish company.
The head of the board, Wafi Albhash, told AKnews that the Turkish company was granted an investment license for a housing project worth $ 218 million. A licence to build an amusement park worth $13.8m, and another to construct a tourist hotel worth $2m, were both awarded to Iraqi firms.
Albhash said that these latest licences brought the investment board’s total for this year up to 108 licences awarded across different sectors.
The Investment Commission announced last month that the volume of investment in the province amounted to $3.57 billion.
