Kurdistan Region’s minister of transportation and communication has said Thursday a number of businessmen are in serious talks to build an automobile manufacturing plant in the Region, according to a report from AKnews.
Anwar Jabali [Anwar Jabali Sabo] (pictured) did not disclose the names of the people involved, however he stressed the Region has “promising” conditions for founding the factory and expected it will be established in the near future.
The Kurdish government cannot afford the expenses of such a plant, therefore it is only the private sector capitalists who can introduce an automobile factory to the Region.
Observers point to the profitability of the private sector in the Kurdistan Region. Almost 11,500 private companies are currently active in various sectors.
