The British Consul General in Basra, Richard Wood, visited Basra Investment Commission (BIC) on Tuesday and discussed how best to facilitate British investors entering the province. They also discussed some economic and investment issues, especially those related to the main obstacles facing investors.
According to the BIC, Wood expressed his appreciation of the role of the BIC, and the stable security situation in Basra, which helped greatly in attracting the foreign companies to open offices in Basra.
The chairman of BIC, Eng. Haider Ali Fadhil, presented the available investment opportunities and the most important projects that were recently granted licences. He also invited the British companies to visit Basra to get an opportunity to establish investment projects.
