Iraq has set a deadline of 19th May for international oil companies (IOCs) to register to compete for the fourth oil bidding round, scheduled to be held later this year.
According to Dow Jones, Iraq had pre-qualified around 45 international companies for its three bidding rounds held over the last 22 months. Almost half of these firms, including oil majors, won deals in Iraq.
The ministry said pre-qualified companies which didn’t win deals in the previous three licensing auctions need to update their documents, while new companies have to submit a complete set of documents.
