Iraq’s non-Oil Trade with Iran Reaches $4bn

The Iraqi Trade Ministry said Wednesday that the value of trade with Iran, discounting oil activities, has hit $4 billion [4.8 trillion Iraqi dinars] this year so far, according to a report from AKnews.

The Director General of Foreign Economic Relations at the ministry, Hashem Hatem, told the agency that the Ministry is seeking to enhance economic relations between the two countries and raise the level of trade

“The Trade Ministry started the preparation of final reports about the exact numbers on trade between Iraq and regional countries, with which it has extensive commercial dealings.”
