KBR Wins 3-Year UK Govt Deal in Iraq

KBR (NYSE: KBR) has announced that it has been selected by the UK’s Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) to provide life support, vehicle maintenance and healthcare services across Baghdad, Basra and Erbil in Iraq, and Kabul and Lashkar Gah in Afghanistan.

This builds on KBR’s existing relationship with FCO delivering services in challenging environments. The three-year contract, won by KBR’s UK-based International Government & Defence business unit, also provides FCO with options for vehicle maintenance in Sudan and Pakistan.

KBR will deliver a comprehensive suite of services such as medical support (including nursing and medical supplies), fleet management of armoured and soft skin vehicles, interpreters, sustenance, laundry, environmental services and fuel.

“KBR is proud to provide such essential services to the British Government in Afghanistan and Iraq, building upon the work we already do in these countries for the UK Ministry of Defence,” said Andrew Pringle, President, KBR International Government & Defence. “We look forward to continuing to provide FCO with a first class service.”
