How to Spend an Extra $29 Billion

Last week we asked readers to submit their three main suggestions to improve Iraq, and thanks to all who contributed so far.

It’s noticeable that none of the suggestions included adding an additional layer of administration, which if recent reports are to be believed is a favourite solution of some of Iraq’s politicians.

The good news is that Iraq is expected to have an extra 36% to allocate to its spending program for 2012, and those funds will be welcomed by all sectors in a country that’s crying out for more of everything except bureaucracy.

Let’s hope that the money is spent wisely.

Whatever sector of the economy your business operates in, Upper Quartile and AAIB are here to help you. For more information please contact Gavin Jones or Adrian Shaw.

Interesting, On the previous note , do not know whose recommendation is for additional admin as it is like adding additional red tape plus additional layer of corruption , plus additional layer of expenses, plus additional layer of political leverage to the govt , amount to more time to get work done and more expensive to do it. Sounds like a bad joke.
Now on the current issue some budget should be spent to hire qualified people to provide assistance and expertise on all issues to a totally lost and illiterate parliament whose only interest for the country is corruption.

THERE WAS AN INTERESTING ARTICLE IN WORLD NEWS IRAQI DINAR ABOUT THIS GENTLEMAN WHO WAS A HIGHER UP MEMBER IN GOV BACK IN THE 90’S. ONE OF HIS COMMENTS WAS THERE WAS WAY TO MANY POSITIONS IN GOV THAT DIDNT NEED TO BE AND THE FACT THEY WERE BEING HELD BY PEOPLE WHO HAD NO IDEA WHAT THEIR TRUE DUTIES WERE. SIMPLY PUT JUST WAY TO MUCH DINAR BEING SPENT ON SALARIES. THE TREND AS HE PUTS IT IS STILL BEING PUT IN FORCE AS A WAY OF LOWERING UNEMPLOYMENT. I THINK WE CAN ALL SEE THAT CONCEPT IS NOT THE RIGHT DIRECTION. JUST HANG ON TO THAT MONY AND SEE WHAT COMES UP SHORT THAT IT CAN BE USED FOR AT A LATER DATE. REMEMBER THAT WHEN THEIR CURRENCY RV’S ALOT OF PEOPLE WILL TAKE A PORTION AND INVEST IT BACK INTO IRAQ. THE CONDITIONS THOUGH HAVE TO BE GOOD AND SECURE. TOP PRIORITY IS TO WIPE OUT CORRUPTION KEEP THE BORDERS STRICT FROM LETTING PROBLEMS DRIFT IN AND GET THAT DINAR AT A STRONG POINT SO THE ENTIRE WORLD ECONOMY CAN BECOME FOLLOWERS TO THE LEADING COUNTRIES.

Yes.. it is just as real as all the other countries that have RV’d… lol… which is NONE… never happened… never will like these scammers claim.

Why wouldn’t they RI to the pre war value?

  7. Editor November 10, 2011 at 12:30 am #

@ Jim Pinkham: why would they?

  8. Stew November 10, 2011 at 6:24 am #

Jim… the pre war value of the dinar was 2000:1 to 3000:1
Is that the value you want them to RV to?

I’m sure you will respond by saying it was $3 per dinar… but that rate hasn’t been legit since about 1980.
Iraq can return to somewhere near that 1980 rate when they also return their money supply numbers to the 1980 amount… which was about 30 billion dinar.
So when you and everyone else in the world that has dinar trade in your dinar and get 1 new for every 1000 you have, then that new dinar will have a decent value.
Good luck finding someone who will do that transaction for you without raking you over the coals.
