Iraq will host 20 international exhibtions and trade fairs in 2012, according to AKnews.

Sadiq Sultan, the general manager of the Exhibtions Company in the Iraqi Trade Ministry, said:

“The exhibitions attract international companies to enter the Iraqi market, especially in the fields of construction, agriculture, industry and investment.“

Sultan spoke on the occasion of the Baghdad International Development and Housing Fair earlier this week. 210 companies from Lebanon, Syria, India, Italy, Malaysia, U.K., the United Arab Emirates, Turkey and Iran are reportedly taking part in the exhibition.

“The exhibition will continue for four days and a number of important construction agreements will be signed between international companies and ministries and between international and local companies“, Sultan said.
