The Entico Corporation is pleased to announce the Maysan and Thi Qar Reconstruction & Investment Summit on the 12th and 13th of May at the Grand Hyatt Hotel, Dubai, UAE. The event will be held under the patronage of H.E. Dr Khudier AlKuzai, Vice President of Iraq.
The southern Iraqi provinces of Maysan and Thi Qar suffered heavily during years of conflict. However, both provinces have recently benefited from the decentralisation of the country’s government, putting them in control of their own budgets and streamlining the procurement process.
The proven Entico Summit format connects senior government decision makers with international and regional business leaders in private, pre-scheduled meetings.
The provinces are looking to harness more than $1 billion of capital in a number of projects including but not limited to transport, healthcare, housing, agriculture and IT.
Maysan and Thi Qar are also ramping up oil production creating a new market for oil & gas service providers.
The country’s biggest refinery is planned for Thi Qar, so large it will take up one-third of the province’s total area.
Maysan alone has a production target of 1 million barrels per day during the next four years alone.
The event is Entico’s third Iraqi Summit following the successful Iraq National Strategic Summit under the patronage of the Minister of Communications H.E, Mr. Mohammed Tawfik Alawi and more recently the Iraq Transportation Infrastructure Summit (in Baghdad) under the patronage of the Minister of Transport H.E, Mr. Hadi Al-Amiri.
“The redevelopment of Iraq’s infrastructure is vital to the country’s recovery,” said James Ramsey, CEO, Entico Corporation. “We’re delighted to follow-up our previous two Iraqi investment summits with a third in quick succession. This demonstrates the pace of growth the country is pursuing.”
“We’re confident that we will be able to help officials from both the Maysan and Thi Qar provinces to find the right partners for their own multi-billion dollar projects,” added Ramsey.
