SOC Output Forecasts for Southern Oil Fields

Production at BP‘s Rumaila oilfield (pictured) is running at 1.316 million barrels per day (bpd), and is expected to increase by another 250,000 bpd in the second half of the year, the head of state-run South Oil Company said, according to Reuters.

Dhiya Jaffar also told reporters at a news conference that ouput from West Qurna-1 was at 406,000 bpd and expected to rise by 100,000 bpd in the next six months.

Meanwhile production at the Zubair oilfield was 254,000 bpd and expected to increase by 100,000 bpd by the end of the year.
