Iraq’s Minister of Reconstruction and Housing, Mohammed al-Daraji [Darraji] (pictured) has announced details of the new Zubair Residential Community in Basra province.
The project will be built on a site of 56 donums (14 hectares )at a cost of 119 billion Iraqi dinars ($102m).
The entire project includes two blocks: block A with 8 flats and block B with 22. Each block contains six floors and each floor has four units. In block A the flats have a size of 225 m2, while in Block B they are 150 m2.
It will also include a kindergarten, two primary schools and one secondary school, as well as a health center and a shopping center.
The Ministry of Reconstruction and Housing is currently implementing 57 residential projects across Iraq’s provinces.
