We would like to update you of Al-Kindi’s intentions to hold a conference on the construction and housing sector in Iraq. This is planned to be held on 7th of July 2012 in Central London.
Iraq needs over 3 million housing units, modern highways, bridges and basic infrastructure. The budget for the ministry of Construction and Housing this year is $13bn and many large projects are lined up as part of the initiative led by H.E. Minister Mohammed Al-Deraji [Darraji] (pictured) to improve the housing and infrastructure situation in Iraq.
Despite of the economy down turn in Europe, Iraq’s economy is booming and it’s time for the serious and reputed service providers in the UK to actively participate in the new developments in Iraq. There are great opportunities that are opening up for consultation firms in housing, highways and bridges, surveying and other relevant fields; to work with the ministry on large projects.
Hence Al-Kindi is planning to hold the conference on the 7th of July with senior delegation coming from Iraq headed by H.E. Minister Mohammed Al-Deraji.
Directors and senior representatives of UK companies will also share their experiences and present their services. Challenges that need to be addressed to stimulate a wider and active participation by UK consultant firms will be discussed during the day.
We will keep you updated with further details on the conference, further communications will be made with all the details.
