Japanese car giant Toyota says it wants to open a sales center in Basra province, and Basra Investment Commission (BIC) has offered to help facilitate the project, according to a report from AIN.
Saleh Rauf, the Executive Director of Toyota, said:
“The Company has an earnest and ambitious plan to start this investment project including establishing a sales and spare parts center in Basra. Basra province is one of our main [target markets because of its] ongoing economic development and favorable environment for businesses in the region, an its security stability.“
The Head of Basra Investment Commission, Khalaf al-Badran, welcomed the Company’s delegation, and expressed his support for the project.
