The withdrawal of Kurdistan Workers’ Party militants into Iraq’s Kurdistan Region has raised controversy in Baghdad.
PKK militants are leaving Turkey and moving to Kurdistan under an agreement with the Kurdistan Regional Government.
Iraq’s Foreign Ministry says it welcomes a political and peaceful solution to stop the violence between the PKK and Turkey’s government.
But the Foreign Ministry also says it does not accept armed groups that might disrupt Iraq’s security and stability.
