Progress in Iraq, and at IBN

By Padraig O’Hannelly.

In a week when progress appears to have been made in the long-running dispute over control of oil exports from Iraqi Kurdistan, a Canadian company has announced another new oil find in the region.

Meanwhile, our Expert Blogger Ahmed Mousa Jiyad takes a closer look at the activities of China, and the China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC), in Iraq.

And on the subject of our Expert Bloggers, we are delighted to welcome a new Expert Blogger to our ranks: Robert Tollast has written extensively on security, politics and economic issues in Iraq, and will be interviewing a series of Iraqi and foreign professionals about their experiences working in Iraq.

You can read his first blog here, and we look forward to reading more from him in the coming weeks.
