Iraq Discusses Transport with Egypt, Jordan

By John Lee.

Transport officials from Iraq, Egypt and Jordan recently held talks with a view to improving cooperation.

Jordan’s Petra news agency reports that the talks were held on the sidelines of the meetings of the General Assembly of the Arab Bridge Maritime Company, held recently in Cairo.

Among the items discussed were a proposed railway network between the countries and how it should be funded. The talks also touched on the issue of Jordanian trucks being delayed at the Iraqi border.
