In a joint meeting held on Thursday between the Kurdistan Region Prime Minister, Nechirvan Barzani, Deputy Prime Minister, Qubad Talabani, and Iraqi Oil Minister Dr. Adel Abdul Mahdi in Erbil, both sides agreed to reach a comprehensive settlement of all the outstanding issues between the Iraqi federal government and the Kurdistan Regional Government.

As a first step it was agreed that:

  2. The KRG places 150,000 barrels a day of crude oil at the disposal of the federal Iraqi government.
  3. The KRG Prime Minister Nechirvan Barzani will head a delegation to visit Baghdad in the coming few days to develop a comprehensive, fair and constitutional solution for all the outstanding issues.
