The Kurdistan Regional Government has appointed Mr Karwan Jamal Tahir as its new Representative to the United Kingdom.
The Head of the Kurdistan Regional Government’s Department of Foreign Relations, Minister Falah Mustafa, said that under the recommendation of the President of the Kurdistan Region, Masoud Barzani, and in order to develop and further strengthen bilateral relations between Kurdistan and the United Kingdom, Mr.Tahir has been selected to be the new Kurdistan Regional Government’s Representative to the United Kingdom.
Minister Mustafa added, “We would like to congratulate and convey our full support to Mr.Tahir in his new post and we wish him nothing but success in his new endeavours.”
Prior to this appointment, Mr.Tahir has been the Deputy Head of the Kurdistan Regional Government’s Department of Foreign Relations and commenting further on this move, Minister Mustafa said:
“Mr.Tahir has the experience and knowledge needed to handle his new mission and help ensure the further strengthening of Kurdistan – UK relations and we hope that all our representatives abroad intensify their efforts to further strengthen Kurdistan’s relations with the international community in order to help Kurdistan benefit.”
