The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research of the Kurdistan Regional Government signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with its counterpart in Belarus for technical training in the field of information technology.
The agreement was signed during a recent visit to Belarus by a delegation headed by Samal Sardar, the KRG Minister of Industry and Trade, which included Falah Mustafa, the head of KRG foreign relations office and deputy head of the delegation, and Dr. Yusuf Goran, the KRG minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and other governmental officials.
The KRG delegation was received by Belarusian Foreign Minister Vladimir Makei and several other officials.
During the meeting Dr. Yusuf Goran and the Minister of Education and Higher Education and Scientific Research of Belarus discussed reinforcing cooperation and coordination between both sides, especially reinforcing ties between polytechnic universities in both countries.
Accordingly, both sides proposed signing a MOU on technical training in the field of information technology.
