Poll: What Now for the Iraqi Stock Market?

The Rabee Securities ISX Index (RSISX) fell 6.7 percent in the first week of 2016, reflecting the mood in world markets generally, to end the week at IQD 1017.

This follows a drop of 22 percent in 2015 (closing at 1090), and more than 25 percent in 2014.

The question for investors is where does it go from here. Is this the bottom of the market, or are there further falls to come?

Let us know what you think in this poll, and in the comments section below. (In a similar poll in March of last year, only one person predicted correctly):

The RSISX will end 2016 ...

  • ... 10-25% up on its 2015 close (i.e. between 1199 and 1362) (38%, 6 Votes)
  • ... within +/-10% of its 2015 close (i.e. between 981 and 1199) (19%, 3 Votes)
  • ... 10-25% down from its 2015 close (i.e. between 817 and 981) (19%, 3 Votes)
  • ... at least 25% up on its 2015 close (i.e. above 1362) (13%, 2 Votes)
  • ... at least 25% down from its 2015 close (i.e. below 817) (13%, 2 Votes)
