120 tons of Expired Medicine seized at Umm Qasr

Iraqi Authorities in have reportedly seized an estimated 120 tons of expired medicine at the port of Umm Qasr in recent months.

The Deputy Head of Umm Qasr Customs, Ahmed Qasim, told NRT Arabic more than 30 containers were seized, with another seven still to be checked.

The medicine in those containers was in 60 degree temperature, while it should be placed in temperature no greater than 25 degrees,” Shakir said.
