Diala Investment Commission gave permission to construct a big residential compound in eastern Baaquba city, the commission’s head said on Wednesday.
“The compound will consist of 3,000 apartments,” Mijwil Mehdi told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
He said that the compound’s total cost will be around $247 million.
“Interested citizen need to pay $40–$50 thousand to buy an apartment,” he said.
Baaquba, the capital city of Diala province, lies 57 km northeast of Baghdad.
