Basra, 24 March 2010 (Aswat Al Iraq )
Staff of the South Refineries Company in three southern Iraqi provinces will launch a sit-in on Wednesday (March 24) demanding to dismiss the refinery’s administration and to release their revenues of previous years.
“The sit-in will be conducted at the three provinces of Basra, Missan, and Thi-Qar,” a union source told Aswat al-Iraq news agency on Tuesday.
He said that the time limit of the sit-in will be open.
“The sit-in comes as promises made by the Basra local government regarding our demands have not been fulfilled,” the source said.
