Kirkuk Central Marketplace Reopened

The Kirkuk central marketplace was reopened on Wednesday after being closed for more than seven years, according to the province’s media director.

“Kirkuk Governor Abdulrahman Mustapha on Wednesday (June 16) opened the Kirkuk central market with the attendance of representatives from the Trade Ministry,” Dalier Samad told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.

“The market is considered one of the biggest markets in the province in 70s, 80s and 90s and had been closed after the fall of the former regime,” he added.
