Syrian Prime Minister Mohammad Naji Otri and Iraqi Finance Minster Baqir Jabr al-Zubaidi met on Sunday to discuss cooperation and relations between the two countries.
Later, Syria's Minister of Finance Mohammed al-Hussein discussed with al-Zubaidi the positive impact of Syrian-Iraqi financial cooperation on economic relations which serve the interest of both countries.
Minister al-Hussein stressed the deep and wide-ranging Syrian-Iraqi relations.
He indicated that the two countries signed agreements on double taxation, customs cooperation, investment promotion and protection, and banking and insurance cooperation.
For his part the Iraqi Finance Minister expressed pleasure at boosting bilateral relations. He appreciated Syria's efforts in hosting the displaced Iraqis and supporting Iraq's unity and stability.
