The commercial exchange between Iraq and Turkey reached to eight billion dollars after the two sides signed a number of important agreements.
Iraq developed an integrated plan to double the commercial and economic exchange, especially with regard to energy, agriculture and industrial development that would improve the economy by Iraq.
Iraq seeks to apply the Turkish experience in dealing with unemployment, the housing crisis and other real problems facing the Iraqi economy.
Iraq had signed an agreement to develop trade with Turkey on August 2008 that stress on the need to increase trade exchange between the two countries after it was at that time $ 3.5 billion.
Turkey established several trade fairs, most recently was last November in Basra province, and it was attended by more than 150 Turkish investment companies.
