The Mayoralty of Baghdad signed on Tuesday two contracts with two companies to set up two malls in the capital at a cost of $54 million.
“The mayoralty of Baghdad has signed a deal with the Dar al-Sabah company to build a mall in the al-Harithiya district at a cost of $42 million [50 billion Iraqi dinars],” according to an official statement received by the Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
The project is to be completed within 3 years.
“The MoB signed another deal with the Amwag company to build the al-Nakhil mall in the area of Palestine Street at a cost of $12 million [15 billion Iraqi dinars],” it added.
The malls will include stores, centers, restaurants and entertainment areas.
