Iraq has received an official request from Jordan to raise oil supplies to 30,000 barrels a day after Egyptian gas stopped flowing to the kingdom when a Sinai pipeline was attacked, AFP has reported.
"I have sent a letter to the Iraqi oil minister and asked to increase the oil supplies from 10,000 barrels a day to 30,000," Khaled Tukan told the Arabic Al-Rai daily.
Jordan imports about 240 million cubic feet of Egyptian gas a day, for 80% of its electricity needs.
