The Iraqi Council of Ministers has licensed 16 Italian companies to invest in housing projects in Iraq, according to AKnews.
Salam al-Qurayshi, an advisor for the Council, told the agency that the companies will construct more than 12,000 houses for government employees in six provinces: Babel, Basra, Dhi Qar, Karbala, Muthanna and Maysan [Missan].
The units will be sold to the employees at low prices, he added.
