Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki has ordered the formation of a Higher Council for Economic Affairs to act as a consultant on economic projects in the country, according to a report from Bloomberg.
The council “will propose recommendations on economic agreements and the volume of commercial exchanges between Iraq” and countries with which it cooperates economically, Kamal al- Shareefi, a member of the government’s economic committee, told Iraqi state television.
