Iraqi Ports to Rehabilitate Container Yard at Umm Qasr

The General Company for Iraqi Ports has signed a contract with a specialized Company to rehabilitate a courtyard for storing containers in Um Qasr seaport.

A statement by the Transportation Ministry said:

"The Head of Northern Umm Qast port, Safa Abdul Hussein, signed a contract with Alaq Almisk and Almisnav Company to rehabilitate a courtyard for keeping containers in the port to expand the facilities of the port.

"Developing this yard will contribute in increasing the capacity of the port to receive the largest possible number of containers."
