Reuters reports that Iraq's grain board has rejected all offers in an international tender to buy at least 30,000 tonnes of rice on Friday.
The tender closed on Sunday and offers had to remain valid until Thursday.
According to traders, the lowest offer was $725 a tonne c&f free out (ciffo) for 30,000 tonnes of long grain rice to be sourced from Argentina.
In its previous rice tender on 27th November, Midgulf International reportedly won an order for about 60,000 tonnes of rice from Brazil and Uruguay.
