Foreign Minister, Hoshyar Zebari, discussed Iraqi - British relations at a recent meeting with the British Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Hugh Robertson.
Theyy also reviewed the latest political and security developments, especially the attacks of the terrorist and armed groups (Islamic State in Iraq and Sham ISIS, DAASH, and the remnants of the former regime) on the provinces of Nineveh and Salahuddin, touching upon the government's efforts to re-impose security and control on the areas where the terrorist groups entered.
The Minister stressed the need for closer international cooperation with Iraq to defeat terrorism and build democratic institutions in the country.
The Minister also discussed with the Baroness, Emma Nicholson, the latest developments in the country and the economic and trade relations between the two countries.
