Iran calls on Iraq to Remove Trade Barriers

Iraqi deputy foreign minister for political affairs for his part thanked Irans support particularly in fight against terrorism.

Baghdad is keen to enhance ties with Iran, the official added.

He called for continuation of consultations between Iran and Iraq within the framework of joint political committee, adding that Tehran-Baghdad ties are key to establishment of peace and stability in the region.

The two officials discussed mutual ties and latest regional and international developments including the battle against terrorism.

Iraqi deputy foreign minister for political affairs arrived in Tehran on Sunday heading a delegation to hold consultations with the Iranian counterparts on political and international issues.
