Iraqi President: "Iraq's Economy Set to Grow"

The Iraqi President has said that, "Iraq stands at the threshold of a new phase of security, stability, and economic development."

Addressing a delegation from the League of Arab States, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid said Iraq offers an enabling environment and conditions for investing in major strategic development projects.

President Rashid: Iraq's Economy Set to Grow

President of the Republic of Iraq Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid received a delegation headed by the Secretary-General of the Council of Arab Economic Unity of the League of Arab States at Baghdad Palace on Thursday, September 12, 2024.

Following an overview of efforts underway to develop Arab economic growth, they discussed the need to address economic challenges through coordination with the relevant Iraqi governmental institutions and come up with a plan of action.

President Rashid underscored Iraq's desire to continue fostering economic and investment cooperation with brotherly states as an important part of the country's development agenda.

"It is safe to say that Iraq offers an enabling environment and conditions for investing in major strategic development projects," he said. "Iraq stands at the threshold of a new phase of security, stability, and economic development, and we look forward to a closer relationship based on real economic partnerships and fruitful cooperation."

The visiting delegation expressed their gratitude to President Rashid for his vision on how to boost the economy over the coming years. They expressed the hope that Iraq will support the Council of Arab Economic Unity to achieve higher goals that serve the wider interests of the region.
