Apple to help with Iraq's Digital Transformation

Iraq's Prime Minister, Mohammed Shia' Al-Sudani, met with a delegation from Apple Inc., alongside the head of the Communications and Media Commission (CMC), Ali Al-Muayyed.

The discussion centered on Iraq's ongoing digital transformation, led by Al-Sudani through the High Committee for Digital Transformation. The Prime Minister highlighted Iraq's evolution into a successful investment environment for major companies, emphasizing the need for accelerated digital advancements.

Al-Sudani stressed the importance of enhancing digital and technological skills among Iraqi youth to expand employment opportunities and support government programs aimed at creating a fully integrated digital environment for public services.

The Apple delegation proposed initiatives to develop youth skills in technology, collaborate with universities, and register smartphones entering Iraq to offer competitive pricing, supporting Iraq's broader digital and economic transformation.
